    Rich has been working with the Shearer Automotive Group since the inception of the new company. He has extensive retail automotive experience as well as consulting to major auto dealer groups and manufacturers. Rich is a graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Vermont to be near his family.

    Dave Lewis was the second generation owner-operator of Lewis Motors until recently selling the company to the locally owned Shearer Automotive Group.

    Dave is a graduate of Norwich University, and lives with his wife Karyn, his two children Sarah and Alex, and his two American Bulldogs.

    Dave is now a partner with his friend Bill Shearer, and works as a Consultant and Special Projects Manager.

    Judy has been married for over 35 years to her husband Steven. Their son Joseph lives with his wife Diane and their three children, Damion, Elizabeth and Jack in South Burlington. Judy's daughter Joanna lives with her husband Ched and their two children Andrew and Emma in Colchester. Judy has been working with Shearer for about 11 1/2 years and adds so much to the dealership. Judy and her daughter own a Jazzercise center in Burlington and Judy has also been a fitness instructor for several years. In Judy's spare time she enjoys reading.

    Mark Benoit has been in the car business in Burlington for well over 25 years, and has been our Acura Sales Manager since the franchise was added here in 1995.  Customers appreciate his soft spoken manner and his aversion to playing "car dealer games" with his customers.  Recently he took on added responsibilities as co-manager of our used car department.  Mark is an excellent golfer, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe.

    Greg grew up in Peru, New York and has been in the Auto Industry for 16 years. He has worked for Bill McBride Chevrolet-Subaru, Della Honda, Freedom Chevrolet, Heritage Ford-Toyota and now the Shearer Auto Group.

    Brian holds an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences with a Major in Automotive Services. He has dedicated his entire professional life of 32 years to the Automotive Service Industry, 25 of them right here at this dealership. Starting out working in the grease pits of the 1970's and progressing his career until he finished as one of the top 5 ranked Audi Technicians in North America, twice! His prime directive is to provide quality auto repair and exemplary customer service. This is accomplished by assembling the finest Technicians, Service Advisors and support staff you will find anywhere. He and his staff welcome any opportunity to show you the high level of service that Shearer Acura and VW/Audi South Burlington can provide. Brian lives in Milton with his wife and two children. He enjoys woodworking, skiing, golf, and fishing. In his spare time Brian repairs pool tables and builds custom pool sticks.

    Dean is truly the "Dean of Shearer Audi/VW," having worked here since 1974.  He started as a mechanic, but for the last 25 years has served as Parts Manager and also as one of our technology managers. Dean grew up and attended school in Burlington. He has one son, and a new granddaughter. His hobbies include photography, golf, old movies and collecting model cars.

    Bob lives in Colchester and has been in the Auto body business for many years. That helps him make sure we have pristine vehicles to sell to our customers. Bob is also the only sales person who can actually dismantle and reassemble any vehicle at this dealership. Bob enjoys to cook, play cards, and help organize his neighborhood pig roast. He also jumps in Lake Champlain for the Penguin Plunge and Special Olympics every year.

    Robert has been at our dealership now for two years. He grew up in Western New York but finished high school at the People's Academy in Morriseville. Robert went to Champlain College and currently lives with his wife Dee and 5 year old son, Noah, in Fairfax. He enjoys spending time with Noah, fishing, skiing, and cooking.

    OK, so you need to schedule an appointment for your Acura, or you need to ask someone a technical question?  Jay is your man!  Pleasant, and above all patient, Jay is the main reason that the Shearer Acura service department is rated #1 for customer satisfaction in the entire Northeast region. Jay grew up in Ferrisburgh VT, and now lives in Essex Jct. with his wife, cat and dog. In his spare time, Jay enjoys anything having to do with mountain bikes, motorcycles, and video games.

    Peter grew up in Shelburne, Vermont and attended CVU. He's been working here for 3 1/2 years and certainly never has a dull moment! Peter is a crew chief on his brother's race car that races at Thunder Road in Barre, VT and other local race tracks throughout New England and Canada. The've been successful and won several races and championships in 2003. Peter enjoys working on race cars and playing video games online where Josh cheats.

    Keith grew up in Newfane, Vermont and moved to Burlington to attend UVM where he earned a BA in Psychology. Keith met his wife after college and they currently live in Shelburne. Keith enjoys working on old Volkswagens and Porsches, fixing up his house, golfing, and hiking with his dog. Keith is also Brewing beer in his basement!

    Jim grew up in Jericho and graduated from Mount Mansfield Union High School in 1985. Jim currently lives in Shelburne. He has three children, his 16 year old son lives in Florida with his mom and an 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter who he adopted in May of 2009. Jim enjoys fishing, riding his motorcycle, and boating with his girlfriend Laurie and their kids. Jim tried out for Jeopardy three years ago and also had a try out with the Cincinnati Reds baseball team in 1985. Jim has been with the dealership for five years.

Holly's passions in life include riding her Harley, spending time with family and friends, singing, bowling, Jazzercise, traveling, visiting the ocean, laughing and have fun in life!

Katie started working with Shearer in September and enjoys doing various tasks here. In her spare time, Katie likes riding horses, laughing, beaches, dancing, cooking, jazzercise, skiing, singing, walking, and playing with animals. Katie will be attending Nursing School at Vermont Technical College in August 2010.

    Whitney started with the Shearer Auto Group at the Cadillac Dealership in August 2002, moved to the Chevrolet Dealership in 2008 and now Whitley is here. Whitney grew up in Richmond, VT and graduated from Mount Mansfield Union High School in 2000. Her husband John and she were married in July 2004. They have a 3 year old son, Riley and they live in Colchester. Whitney enjoys spending time with her family, Jazzercise, and being on the lake.

    Charlie grew up in Rochester, New York and attended College at Buffalo State. He's been working with us for about two and a half years. Previously, Charlie worked at a Saab and Lexus dealer in New York. Charlie is planning on continuing his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education in the near future! Charlie is married and is working on having children. He enjoys photography and tire technology. After a twelve year hiatus, Charlie is currently continuing in Martial Arts under Kyokushin. Charlie played the saxophone when he was a kid and wants to learn how to play to guitar.

    Scott grew up in Colchester and now lives in Winooski. In the past, Scott has worked with a few detail shops, restaurants and in construction, but now is a new member of our great Reconditioning Department! Scott enjoys snowboarding and hanging out with his friends. Scott loves adrenaline thrills so he really wants to go skydiving!

    Eric grew up in South Burlington and graduated in 2000 from South Burlington High School. He's worked at other high end dealerships as a Reconditioner and also at a few high end body shops. Ryan ran a local private Detail Shop. He's had a total of 12 years of experience total, specializing in paint finishing and reconditioning. He was a shop level Master Detailer. Eric enjoys working on and building older Volkswagens, auto-x race cars: S1, S2, A1 classics and racing and driving them as often as possible. Eric has Lizards and has a few, and a snake, and also a Beagle named Wilbur. Eric plays music too: hardcore/metal guitar and jazz/funk bass guitar.

    Tim grew up in the town of New Haven with his four brothers and five sisters. He went to Mt. Abe high school and has worked as a Landscaper for the past 20 years. Tim has enjoyed sports since he was in school. he plays softball, shooting pool and bowling. Tim also enjoys chainsawing, working outdoors on firewood, and snowmobiling in the winter. Tim has two King Charles Spaniels, Roy and Athena.

Ryan used to work at this dealership, and now he is an intern here to fulfill one of his college requirements. Ryan enjoys snowboarding, autocross, jet skiing, skydiving, and painting. Ryan has gone 0-150 mph in 3 seconds jumping out of a plane.
